It is time for ACTION

A new development application for the top of Rosny Hill is expected in the next month. A state election is expected in the next two months. New planning laws are looming. The time for action is NOW.

What will be the fate of this beautiful reserve. Sketches and photographs going back to the start of European settlement show it as a hilltop 'green island', a place for recreation which we know actually means Re - Creation.

Here is an undated sketch by Thomas Evans Chapman (1788-1864) showing Rosny Hill in the background. https://stors.tas.gov.au/AUTAS001124061342w800

Here is a photograph taken from the Domain Battery behind the Cenotaph with Rosny Hill still green in the background. https://stors.tas.gov.au/PH30-1-2069

JH 2017
Is 2018 the year that this this clean, green, serene community asset will be disrupted and put under the control of a lessee? This is a reasonable and genuine community concern. Come join us. Contribute on the Rosny Hill Fiends Network facebook page.
